The basic needs department responds to the basic and emergency needs of youth by providing a variety of services and resources.  The drop-in centre, located at 125 Sherbrook Street, is open during daytime hours with a number of staff ready to respond to the needs of any youth who walk through the doors.

Available services include:

  • Youth Food Bank (available to youth under the age of 18)
  • Free Clothing and Linens Bank
  • Free Hygiene Bank stocked with toiletries and feminine hygiene products
  • Free condoms
  • Connect 2 phone message service
  • Free laundry
  • Showers
  • Pet Food/Supplies
  • Lunch Meal Monday-Friday at 1:00
  • Friends for Pets spay and neutering program (Winnipeg Humane Society)
  • Referrals

Support Groups:

  • Women's Support Group - Monday 3:00-4:00
  • Men's Support Group - Wednesday 3:00-4:00
  • LGBTT Support Group - Friday 3:00-4:00
  • Addiction Support Group - Monday, Wednesday, Friday 12:00-1:00
  • Get Fit Club - Monday, Friday 3:00-4:30
  • Drop-in Counselling - Thursday 5:00-8:30
