What is a RSS Feed? How to view RSS?
RSS (Really Simple Syndication) is a family of Web feed formats used to publish frequently updated content such as blog entries, news headlines or podcasts. An RSS document, which is called a "feed," "web feed," or "channel," contains either a summary of content from an associated web site or the full text. RSS makes it possible for people to keep up with their favorite web sites in an automated manner that's easier than checking them manually.

RSS content can be read using software called an "RSS reader," "feed reader" or an "aggregator." The user subscribes to a feed by entering the feed's link into the reader or by clicking an RSS icon in a browser that initiates the subscription process. The reader checks the user's subscribed feeds regularly for new content, downloading any updates that it finds.

The initials "RSS" are used to refer to the following formats:

* Really Simple Syndication (RSS 2.0)
* RDF Site Summary (RSS 1.0 and RSS 0.90)
* Rich Site Summary (RSS 0.91)

RSS formats are specified using XML, a generic specification for the creation of data formats.

Local DJs hosting CD Release/Dance Party with proceeds going to RaY. Winnipeg's favourite DJs are back with The Holiday Mixer: a CD release/dance party at The Pyramid Cabaret on Saturday, December 11th, 2010. In addition to spinning the hottest dancefloor jams all night (including exclusive remixes and edits from the new mixtape), Co-op and Hunnicutt have enlisted some Winnipeg "local celebrities" to join them on the decks! Radio host Ace Burpee, journalist Bartley Kives and singer/songwriter John K. Samson will all be taking turns on the decks. Although all of the guests are music enthusiasts, none has ever played selector in a live club setting before. "We're always looking for a way to get out of working, and these suckers are playing for free!" said Co-op, who was quickly interrupted by Hunnicutt. "What he means is we're always looking for ways to make our parties exciting both for our fans and for ourselves! Plus, we're donating the proceeds from this event to a local drop-in centre, Resource Assistance for Youth (RaY)." RaY is a non-profit street-level agency working with street-entrenched and homeless youth up to the age of 29. RaY is non-judgmental and non-partisan, employing a harm reduction approach to all interactions with youth in need. Co-op and Hunnicutt got the idea for having celebrity guest DJs after having rapper/radio host Buck 65 aka Rich Terfry play with them for a New Year's Eve party a few years back. "It was so cool to see what Rich was bringing to the crowd - given his diverse musical background," said Hunnicutt, "and I can't wait to see what Ace, Bartley and John are going to play!".
