HOUSING

RaY supports youth in finding and maintaining affordable housing.

Everyone deserves a safe place to call home.

EMPLOYMENT

Through our Growing Opportunities program, RaY helps youth get job ready with training and supports.

MENTAL HEALTH AND ADDICTIONS

At RaY, we have a dedicated Mental Health and Addictions team to support youth in understanding their mental health and getting the help they need.

DROP-IN

Drop-in is a safe space for youth to hang out and get to know us. We always have a pot of coffee on and a hot meal. Anyone aged 29 and under can come to drop-in.

BASIC NEEDS

The Basic Needs Program is a place for youth to access everyday essentials such as clothing and hygiene items, a hot shower, and laundry facilities.

STREET OUTREACH

The Street Outreach Program delivers mobile services to folks on the streets.

EDUCATION AND TRAINING

We are working to bridge the youth employment gap through education and paid training programs.

CULTURAL SUPPORTS

We deliver culturally safe and informed service for a diverse community.

PRIMARY HEALTH

At RaY’s Health Clinic, youth can see a Nurse Practitioner. The clinic is located at RaY and, like the rest of RaY, is non-judgmental.

A NON-JUDGMENTAL APPROACH

We’re not here to judge you, just to help you out. Here’s how we can do that:

  • A safe drop-in space, with coffee, couches, computers, food, and folks to chat with

  • Basic Needs, including showers, laundry, clothing bank, showers, and hygiene items

  • A street outreach team, who drive around handing out sandwiches and supplies

  • Housing supports, including eviction prevention, apartment hunting, and advocacy

  • Primary health, including a clinic at RaY with a Nurse Practitioner

  • A Mental Health and Addictions team, who can help you find resources when you’re ready or just chat if you’re not

  • Employment and training supports, including help with IDs, EIA and welfare, odd jobs, and a Level Up! training program

  • Cultural supports, including Cultural Advisors who can support you, individual cultural supports, and group activities where you can learn in a safe space

We acknowledge we are gathered on Treaty 1 Territory and that Manitoba is located on the Treaty Territories and ancestral lands of the Anishinaabeg, Anishininewuk, Dakota Oyate, Denesuline and Nehethowuk Nations, and the homeland of the Métis. We acknowledge northern Manitoba includes lands that were and are the ancestral lands of the Inuit. We acknowledge that our water here in Winnipeg is sourced from Shoal Lake 40 First Nation.
