PUSHED OFF THE MAP

This mapping tool shows the practical impacts and the near impossible limitations currently placed on people experiencing homelessness especially when we consider current housing scarcity and shelter oversubscription.

Community organisations serving people experiencing homelessness are encouraging Winnipeggers towards actions that support rather than displace people living through homelessness. These include bringing in the support of outreach organisations and building good neighbour relationships between housed and unhoused neighbours.

We acknowledge we are gathered on Treaty 1 Territory and that Manitoba is located on the Treaty Territories and ancestral lands of the Anishinaabeg, Anishininewuk, Dakota Oyate, Denesuline and Nehethowuk Nations, and the homeland of the Métis. We acknowledge northern Manitoba includes lands that were and are the ancestral lands of the Inuit. We acknowledge that our water here in Winnipeg is sourced from Shoal Lake 40 First Nation.
